NINA ANONAS
CHAIRMAN

After a full–blown career as a professional dancer at Ballett Frankfurt, the Junge Ballett Compagnie, Ballet Philippines, and the Manila Metropolis Ballet, Nina Anonas is currently a professor and chairperson of the Dance Program at the College of Saint Benilde–School of Arts, Culture, and Performance, in Manila. She holds a Postgraduate Degree in Educational Management and is considered an industry expert and practitioner in the field of dance. Nina has also authored the Benilde Dance Program's track on Applied Dance Studies.

After having been selected by and trained in Melbourne by Christine Walsh, A.M., her current professional practice also includes examining for the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet, assessing students at affiliated ballet schools in Asia and Australia. She is also an official lecturer and workshop facilitator for the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet, introducing its groundbreaking syllabus to dance teachers and mentoring them through pedagogical processes.

She is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Philippine Dance Cup, Inc., the only nationwide dance competition, which aims to discover new talent and provide significant scholarships to deserving Filipino dancers.

She has authored the book, “Let’s Learn Ballet,” a teaching manual for professional ballet teachers which comes with an illustrated guidebook for beginning ballet students. Her research credentials are paper presentations at international conferences which have been published and are now technical indices for dance.

CHELO GEMINA

Chelo B. Gemina, ACBA, is the CEO & President | Artistic Director of ACTS Manila, Inc., a faith-based affiliation of faith-based ballet schools all over Metro Manila, the South, and Davao City. She holds the same position in Arte. Credo. Theo. Soli., Inc., a talent management company accepting professional engagements in dance, music, oral & written communications, and holding in-house seminars for Business English, Presentation Skills, and the like.

She started training under Eddie Elejar at the Cultural Center of the Philippines and later, took classes under Tony Fabella. She moved to Hariraya Ballet Company under Inday Gaston Mañosa where professional dancing was busiest.

As a teacher, Chelo is one of a handful conferred upon with the title of Associate of the Ballet Conservatoire by ballerina and syllabus author/examiner Christine Walsh, A.M. She has passed her students 100% in the Ballet Conservatoire Assessment Exams with some garnering the highest grade of 'Distinction' in the last two decades.

Chelo's students have clocked in medals, citations, and scholarships via local and international dance competitions like YAGP (Los Angeles, CA), Star of Canaan HK, AGP HK, YGP Manila, YPAC Malaysia, Philippine Dance Cup, etc.

Some of her students have moved on to professional ballet companies both locally & internationally. Majority of her team of dance teachers is homegrown.

Chelo is a member of Victory Santa Rosa church serving as Prayer and Prophetic Team Head.
